About this package
This longer Georgia programme adds a day in Kakheti, the country's wine region, to the essentials of Tbilisi, Mtskheta and Kazbegi. Every tour runs on a private basis with an English-speaking driver and guide, and the wine tasting is there if you would like it.
Day by day

Day 1: Arrival in Tbilisi
Meet and assist at Tbilisi International Airport and a private transfer to your hotel, with check-in from 3:00 PM. The evening is free.

Day 2: Old Tbilisi and Mtskheta
From 10:00, a walking tour of Old Tbilisi (3 to 4 hours): Metekhi Church, Narikala Fortress by cable car, the sulphur baths, Chardin Street and the Peace Bridge. Then on to Mtskheta for Jvari Monastery and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, both UNESCO World Heritage sites.

Day 3: Ananuri, Gudauri and Kazbegi
A full day on the Georgian Military Highway: the Zhinvali reservoir, Ananuri Fortress, the Gudauri ski area and the Friendship Monument, then up to Gergeti Trinity Church beneath Mount Kazbek. Return to Tbilisi in the evening.

Day 4: Kakheti and Sighnaghi
The Chronicle of Georgia monument above Tbilisi, then east to Kakheti, with a wine tasting stop if you wish. Visit Sighnaghi, the hilltop "City of Love" with its 18th-century walls, and the Monastery of St Nino at Bodbe overlooking the Alazani valley. Back in Tbilisi around 5:00 PM.

Day 5: Departure
Breakfast, check-out by 12:00 PM and a private transfer to the airport in time for your flight.
